Leopard Gecko Digging: What Does It Mean?

Is your leopard gecko digging non-stop? This can start to trouble you and you should know that this may mean something is not right in their little world. To learn more about this leo activity, read on. Why do They Dig? Digging is a natural instinct for these animals. Leopard gecko digging is a normal part of their lives in the wild. Their front claws are actually designed for such purposes. They do this for a number of reasons: to get away from the sun, to hide from predators, or to hunt for food. If your substrate is deep enough, it isn’t strange to find your lizard digging paths underneath the ground. Most substrate depths won’t allow this though. Should the digging just keep going on, try to get to the reason behind it. Tank is Too Hot This is one of the biggest reasons behind digging. If the tank is too hot, they will attempt to escape the heat somehow. The quickest solution is to bring the heat down. However, the best solution is to get a proper sized tank that can have two areas of temperature. Leos are happy in temps of about 90 degrees but they sometimes need cooler temps to cool down their bodies. An area that remains in the low 80s or mid 70s should be maintained in any lizard habitat. Check your temp...

Ruskin Bond’s Short Stories

Ruskin Bond’s short stories are like photographs. They give us a picture in an instant, almost like the flash of a camera. With Bond, each story is also an experience. There are two ways in which these experiences have been unfolded; firstly through the experiences of Bond as a boy and secondly through his experiences as an adult. The experiences could be of some passing incident of life, uniquely remembered though; or it could be just a vision, a glimpse, a happening or a passing relationship. In The Woman on Platform No. 8 for instance, it is just a woman who suddenly mothers him as a boy, fusses over him and thus becomes etched in the memory of the child. In The Coral Tree on the other hand, where he is an adult, just the experience of climbing a tree makes him nostalgically think about his grandfather’s house and he suddenly longs for childhood. There are two categories into which Bond’s short stories could be divided. First are remembrances and memories. Bond pens down the past, when he was a child and which he remembers as an adult. These memories and experiences or childhood remembrances of the past or experience of the present, are such that in them nothing really happens. The second category are the narratives, where something happens. In both cases Bond is lucid, clear and instant,...

Should You Be Concerned About Testicle Size?

A number of men find themselves worrying over testicle size, fearing that how big (or how small) they are may affect their virility and sexual performance. The good news is that there is no truth to the rumor that having smaller testicles compromises a man’s ability to give and enjoy good sex, or to father children. However, there may be ways in which testicle size can be an indication of a disease or disorder. According to urologists, the testicles of a normal adult may range from 1.57 inches (four centimeters) to 2.75 inches (seven centimeters). If you find that yours measure less than 1.5 inches, you might want your doctor to take a look at the “family jewels.” The testicles are responsible for producing the hormone testosterone (which determines a man’s libido level, among others) and spermatozoa. Smaller-than-normal testicles could indicate a hormonal problem, which could affect your masculinity and fertility. Some men are also concerned with uneven testicle size; that is, when one side seems to be bigger than the other. This is entirely normal and should not cause distress, except if there is swelling, pain, or if you feel a discernible lump. These could be early indications of testicular cancer, which commonly affects men between the ages of 19 and 44. This is why regular self-examination of the testicles is important; caught early, testicular cancer is easy...

When you first do a search for Advancing With Us you don’t really get too much information, except that the company is fairly new, the founder is a guy called Alan Pariser and the headquarters are based in Henderson, Nevada. Philippine Civil Wedding: How Much Does It Cost to Tie the Knot?

When my husband and I got married and opted for a civil wedding, it’s not about the money but meeting halfway – it is totally a different and long story. In most cases however, when a couple decides to go for a civil wedding, it has something to do with the budget. With that being said, how much does a quick and simple civil wedding cost? Dear judge, here’s our witnesses, marry us now and make it quick! This is where you and your spouse-to-be go to the courthouse or the mayor’s office together with a few witnesses (at least two of your closest friends who are of legal age or your parents/guardian if both of you are below 18) and say, “I do”. Plain and simple. If you fall under this category, a budget of PHP5,000 – PHP7,000 should already be enough to get married. That is given that you only have two-four witnesses. Here’s a list of what your PHP5,000 – PHP7,000 can cover up: Marriage License Application Fee – When we secured our marriage license in 2011, we only spent around PHP200 – PHP250 max as far as I can remember. Make sure to check the City’s Official Website fees as it may vary per city. Allotting PHP500 for this step is the safe way to go. Officiating Officer Fee – This could range from PHP500-PHP2500...
